I realise that you may be reading this at a very difficult time, when you have many decisions

to make, and just when you don't feel like making them! I have tried to keep the details brief

so you can quickly read the service I am able to offer you.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions.

   I Offer

  • ‚Äčhelp in tailoring a funeral to your family's particular needs and wishes

  • time with you and your family to listen to your stories and memories about how                                     your loved one touched your lives

  • to provide resources from my comprehensive collection of poetry and readings,                                     as well as suggestions for music where needed

  • guidance on involving children in planning and attending the funeral, hopefully                                      aiding their understanding of the ceremony itself and putting them more at ease

  • to then weave these threads into a unique and personal funeral ceremony,  a                                           beautiful parting gift and fitting tribute to help you to say...

    ...a fond farewell

The Dash

(an extract from the poem by Linda Ellis)

I read of a man who stood to speak

At the funeral of a friend,

He referred to the dates on her coffin,

From the beginning... to the end.

He noted that first came her date of birth

And spoke the following date with tears,

But he said that what mattered most of all

Was the dash between those years.

Fo that dash represents all the time

That she spent alive on earth,

And now only those who loved her

Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not how much we own:

The cars... the house... the cash,

What matters in how we live and love

And how we spend our dash.

One of my favourite poems, The Dash

describes all that I hope a funeral created

together with you will be:

a reflection of the life of your loved one

lived in the "dash" between the dates of

their birth and death.
